More on Project Zomboid

ABOUT THE GAME

Hosting Project Zomboid — what you need to know.

Project Zomboid is an open-ended game. The only question is, how do you die? From loneliness, intense hunger, an infection that kills you, maybe you get depressed, or does a zombie come around the corner to finish you off? By creating buildings and defenses, you can ensure your survival, hopefully.

You are on your own. Survive as long as you can!

Project Zomboid is set in the towns of Muldraugh and West Point. You are a survivor and in order to stay alive you must first loot the houses and build defenses. This is the only way you can delay the supposed death day by day. You can't expect any help, because it won't come. Whether you survive depends entirely on you. Of course, your skills, a certain cunning and a portion of luck also play a role. Because be prepared, the horde of zombies will come.

Project Zomboid is a hardcore sandbox survival game that doesn't lose sight of reality. So, of course, you'll have to satisfy your hunger and thirst, fight against infections as well as boredom and look for a safe shelter. So it's not enough if you just blow the heads off the zombies, a depression could also afflict you.

Seek the challenge

In addition to the normal survival and sandbox, Project Zomboid offers fantastic scenarios as a special challenge and the instant action mode "Last Stand". In the challenges, hundreds of zombies await you with swarming technology and watch out they hear and see you! It's best to stay quiet in the shadows and don't forget to turn off the lights at night or at least cover the windows.

The map is based on a real location and is constantly growing, so you have plenty of space to explore, build your fortress and loot houses. The vehicles in Project Zomboid are also realistically rendered. You can make weapons with tools and other items, and the selection is huge. This is the only way to effectively protect yourself against the relentless hordes of zombies.

Build and defend

With the available items you can not only make weapons, but also cook food. Cut down trees, saw your way through the wood and gather more supplies so that you don't starve in your zombie-proof fortress. The game is always realistic, so the day becomes night and even the power comes to a standstill. Just as with us in real life, winter comes into the game. Your fortress always offers you protection, whether from nature or the zombies.
