STRIDEN is a fast-paced loot survival shooter game in which teams compete against each other to scavenge resources, build bases and activate a radio transmission to get out. Welcome to a radioactively contaminated, post-apocalyptic version of Scandinavia.
In an alternative version of the Cold War era, a tactical nuclear war has destroyed the Scandinavian peninsula. Chaos, radioactive storms and survivors characterize this harsh world. Your team is one of those that remain - and must hold its own.
STRIDEN combines looting, survival and team battles. Four teams of five players compete to reach 15,000 points first, build a radio transmitter and initiate the evacuation. Collect equipment, resources, upgrades and defend your territory against enemy teams and environmental hazards.
Choose from five classes such as Assault, Medic, Support, Engineer or Scout - each with special abilities and equipment. But STRIDEN goes further: With so-called power spikes you can use special abilities, e.g. transform yourself into a radioactive bear or use a "Moose Tank".
A radioactive storm threatens your safety at all times. Depending on where you stand or how quickly you react, you could end up in its trap. Strategic positioning, good preparation and quick action are crucial.
Your team can build a stronghold, defend it and set up the transmitter inside. Defenses, traps and structures are essential to withstand enemy attacks or animals while the countdown is running.
STRIDEN has been available in Early Access on Steam since July 11, 2025. The development teams (5 Fortress, Yahaha Games) want to work closely with the community - via feedback, closed and open betas - to further develop maps, weapons, cosmetic items and the progression system.
