  • Length of stay - Stays for approx. 40-60 minutes, then disappears (or dies)

Trade

  • Currency - Emeralds only

  • Supply - Mostly rare plants, blocks or dyes (e.g. corals, water lilies, dyes, mushrooms)

  • Each dealer has a random selection (5-6 offers)

Examples of merchandise:

  • Luminescent lichens

Special features

  • Merchant disappears at the end of his time or when he dies

  • His llamas can be tamed, equipped with carpets and kept

  • Is attacked by monsters at night - often retreats with a potion of invisibility

Tips

  • Always have a few emeralds ready in case the merchant appears with a useful offer

  • Tie up his llamas with ropes before the merchant disappears - that way they will be preserved

  • Not all offers are worthwhile - check whether the item is available at a cheaper price elsewhere

Trivia

  • The traveling merchant cannot be specifically summoned or created

  • When attacked, the llamas do not call for reinforcements - but spit in defense

  • Even if he becomes invisible, his llamas are still visible
