Properties

• Lives - 20 (10 hearts)

• Size - Wider than other passive animals

• Behavior - Mostly peaceful, but will attack when angry

• Spawn - Only on grass blocks with at least two bamboos nearby

Variants

Pandas have random personality traits that influence their behavior:

• Normal - No special behavior

• Playful - Often roll around

• Lazy - Often lie on their backs

• Fearful - Run away when players are nearby

• Aggressive - Attack if they or other pandas are injured

• Weak - Sneeze often and have less life

Benefit

• Cute decoration for zoos or jungle bases

• Interaction with bamboo creates a natural atmosphere

• Can be bred (with restrictions)

Breeding

• Food - Bamboo

• Prerequisites - Two pandas must be near at least eight bamboo plants

• After feeding, they show heart particles and a baby panda appears

• The cub randomly inherits personality traits from the parents

Tips

• Make sure there is enough bamboo around the pandas - otherwise the breeding will not work

• Use name tags to mark special pandas

• Weak pandas can be recognized by frequent sneezing - cute, but more vulnerable

Trivia

• When a baby panda sneezes, there is a small chance that it will drop a ball of slime

• Pandas can dance on fences if they stand on moving platforms (e.g. slime blocks)

• Their animations and sounds are unique and make them one of the most charming animals in the game
